China's Wind Energy - Renewable energy resources
3 Trillion Reasons You Should Listen Now

It’s no secret that China was first out of the gate with an economic stimulus plan last November, allocating $586 billion dollars for the biggest economic shot in the arm in that country’s history. Now there’s an even more important stimulus plan in the works, one that investors should pay close attention to.
Three trillion yuan, that’s $440 billion, in new stimulus funding is about to be invested by Beijing. Instead of infrastructure, this huge stimulus package will be focused on expanding renewable energy sources. That means a lot more solar energy, wind power and other alternative energy industries will be getting a huge boost.
Liang Zhipeng of the State Energy Administration says China’s wind power goals will be more than tripled under the new plan. Beijing’s plans had already been ambitious, with a target of 30 gigawatts of wind power being announced just over a year ago. Now the government is expected to announce a quantum leap in its goals.
Under a sweeping plan now being presented to the State Council (cabinet), China aims to produce 100 billion watts of power from wind turbines by the end of the next decade. This means a colossal investment in new equipment and technology, and a commitment to controlling carbon dioxide emissions in China’s expanding economy.
Details about expanded use of solar power haven’t been revealed but the State Energy Administration says China aims to boost its share of renewable energy from 1.5 percent to six percent of overall energy use. That means renewable energy industries will benefit from a quadrupling of their market. (Hydroelectric power is not included in the government’s expansion plans.)
Although China has a reputation as the world’s largest carbon dioxide gas emitter, Beijing is taking the problem seriously and will also be focusing on cutting consumption by creating energy efficiency. The State Council is expected to formally announce its decision on the new energy stimulus plan shortly.
We’ll be taking advantage of China’s new focus on renewable energy with an investment recommendation to be announced shortly.
